I seldom hike anywhere without my camera. Here are a few of my favorite shots so far this summer. Mouse over for the details of each picture.

About my blog: I spend all summer hiking, and all winter dreaming about hiking. I love to explore Grand Teton and Yellowstone national parks and all the other nearby mountains. The Mountain Goat.net is a journal of the hikes I've been on. Hopefully it will grow into a guide to the trails around Jackson and will give you some ideas as you explore the mountains.
This site is not a definitive guide to any trail. Before going on any trip, consult current maps, ask about current trail conditions, and check the weather forecast. Know your limits. Articles on The Mountain Goat may not be appropriate for you depending on your level of fitness or your level of outdoor experience. Always carry adequate supplies when hiking.
